Great for contaminated unsorted C&D
The CBI Grindall is used for C&D, Biofuel, Mulch and Sawmills.
CBI makes C&D processing simple and very profitable with the CBI Grindall. The CBI Grindall can handle the toughest of C&D waste stream better than any other grinder on the market today due to its tolerance to metal and aggregate. It can grind C&D down to a fine, uniform 3-inch product in one pass! The CBI Grindall is a vertically fed rotary hog with a 23,000-lb. solid steel rotor that shears the material from two directions through a patented offset helix design. Anvil and grates are protected by shear pins. A ballistic chute on top of the hog allows tramp metal to escape safely during full operation. Extremely heavy-duty components will ensure long life. The Grindall is powered by a 1050-1300HP 3412/C27/C32 CAT engine (optional electric drive), overband magnet, weighs 103,000-lbs and is available in both portable and stationary units.

INFEED SYSTEM

60 " wide x 25' long heavy-duty feed conveyor  440, 4-ply rock conveyor belt; supported by a 1/2" AR400 plate for maximum wear resistance  10' wide by 14' long loading section with impact plate under belt  Head roll driven by a hydraulic motor via a shaft-mounted Dodge speed reducer  Idler roll and tail pulley are adjustable for belt tensioning  Belt feeder assembly is hydraulically raised for operation, and lowered for transport height reduction  Grinder bonnet is integrated as part of feed conveyor  Upper section equipped with rubber curtain to prevent flyback of material


CBI 50 X 60 GRIZZLY MILL ROTARY SHEAR HOG

Fabricated housing reinforced in all directions  Heavy bosses around shear pins and bearings  Line-bored holes with bushings  Bolt-in wear liners  Hydraulically operated anvil for easy opening, service and access to grates  Anvil has bolt-on 1.5" thick, 500 BHN abrasive resistant, rebuildable and replaceable liner  3" shear pins for anvil and 2 1/2" for grate  Two grate assemblies, 210 degree total grate area for maximum throughput  50" diameter x 60" long, heavy-duty, solid steel rotor has four alternating angled rows of bolted on striker plates  Striker plates are made of 400 BHN abrasive resistant alloy and imbedded with tungsten carbide  6" thick anvil is supported at the top by hinge pins and at the bottom by 3" diameter shear pins

TRANSMISSION

The CBI 5060 rotor is powered by a V-belt drive transmission system consisting of 12 groove, 8V profile belt sheaves and belts, both protected by a removable belt guard

POWER UNIT

Caterpillar 3412/C27/C32 Eelectronic Diesel Engine rated, 1050-1300 HP at 2100 RPM with electric start  Twin Disc model 318 extra heavy-duty PTO clutch with outboard support bearing (optional HP600 Hydraulic clutch)  Air filtering system with Turbo-Two pre-cleaners  8" critical silencer  Electric dual battery 24 volt DC system with emergency shut down and all-weather control enclosures

ELECTRIC

Radio remote control, which will run all functions of machine. Full mechanical backup of remote; 4 E-stops placed around machine; CAT engine RPM sensor that regulates feed system

400-gallon diesel fuel tank is standard

SAFETY

Flyback guards in the bonnet, a safety cable for the anvil, safety handrails, belt guards, fan guards, and emergency stops are all standard;  OSHA safety signs included

PAINT

All appropriate surfaces (except for wear and machined surfaces) are sand blasted to S.S.P.C. SP 6-10 commercial to white finish; one coat epoxy primer and one coat of CBI yellow high gloss Dupont polyurethane enamel paint. Equipment assembled with zinc plated hardware

BALLISTIC CHUTE: Metal ejection via a ballistic chute on top of the bonnet allows nongrindable tramp metal to automatically escape hog chamber safely during grinding.
