Weighing in at just under 130,000 pounds, the new Magnum Force 8400-T is the biggest, baddest track machine CBI, or anyone, has ever built. The unit has all the features of it's wheel-mounted brother, including three available rotor options (drum, solid steel, and chipper) making it one of the most versatile grinders ever produced, and two CAT engines that provide up to 1300 HP assuring unmatched productivity. CBI has already sold two of these machines to European customers whose businesses required high volume throughput and solid dependability on a track platform for mobility.

FEED CONVEYOR

16' x 60" Feed Conveyor with high troughing sides;  impact plate in bottom;  18" head and tail pulleys;  440, 4-ply belt;  hydraulic drive through gearbox

HOG

Heavy-duty reinforced housing with bolt-in replaceable wear liner.  40” Diameter internally driven top feed roll powered by Poclain 200,000 inch/lbs torque motor  Hydraulic up and down pressure.  18” bottom feed roller; 3” shaft bearings, high torque planetary gear drive.  Extra heavy duty swing-away grate frame with grate liner and cutting anvil held in place with shear pin for rotor protection.  50” diameter x 60” long solid steel offset helix rotor with 4
rows of bolt-on tungsten imbedded  tips, 7” shaft and bearings; brute rotor package included.

ENGINE

Caterpillar 3412 Diesel Electronic Engine rated, 1050HP at 2100 RPM with electric start, turbo charged and after cooled.  The engine is equipped with:

Twin Disc model 600 hydraulic extra heavy-duty PTO clutch with outboard support bearing and pump, valve, tank,  including pump drives to accommodate large pumps for track drive  Donaldson Air Filtering System with Enginaire Pre-Cleaners.  8” spark Arrester  Electric dual battery 24 volt DC system  Emergency shut down and all weather control enclosures.  Extra large copper core radiator with 54” Flexxaire reversible fan designed to purge and clean the radiator every 5-15 minutes.

BELLY CONVEYOR

22' long x 60" wide, slider bed conveyor;  6” head pulley, lagged;  2 -15/16” shaft and bearings;   18” wing tail pulley;  2 -15/16” shaft and bearings;   5” idlers;   330, 3-ply heavy duty belt;  direct coupled series 6000 Char Lynn 24 HP hydraulic drive.

DISCHARGE CONVEYOR


60” wide slider bed conveyor;  16” head and tail pulley;  hydraulically folds for transport   Discharge height to 15’-3”  Magnetic head pulley (Option)

FRAME

Specially made wide flange structure for highest rigidity and strength; cross members for track frames..

TRACKS

17’ long InterTractor frames with CAT components; Bonfiglioli gearbox; Rexroth motor; 500 mm track shoes; drawbar and speed to match customer application.

FUEL TANK


360 gallon

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

Complete with 80 gallon tank, 5000 psi pressure and flow compensated pump for tracks and feed system and gear pumps for feed roll up/down and discharge conveyor, valves, oil cooler,  6000 Char Lynn motor for discharge conveyor, 2000 series Char Lynn motors for feed system, all neatly plumbed using steel tubing and hoses.

ELECTRIC

Radio remote control, which will run all functions of machine.  Full mechanical backup of remote; 4 E-stops placed around machine; CAT engine RPM sensor that regulates feed system; modem for remote communication.

FLEXXAIRE FAN

Flexxaire fan, to replace Caterpillar standard fan, reverses airflow every 5-15 minutes to keep radiator clean from debris.

PAINT

All appropriate surfaces  (except for wear and machined surfaces) are sand blasted to  S.S.P.C. SP 6-10 commercial to white finish;  one coat of epoxy primer to product spec and one coat of CBI yellow high gloss Dupont polyurethane enamel paint.  Equipment is assembled using zinc plated hardware.
